Home Health Care
Case Study For A Home Health Care Service Provider
About the Project
This is a local business that provides home health care services. Their main services are home nurses, physiotherapists, home doctors, and therapeutic nutrition services. Their rankings for the service pages and blog were not strong enough to generate high-quality organic leads. So, their first priority for the project was to rank on SERPs with transactional keywords. As a local business, they also wanted to get more appointments through GMB. That’s when Virtual SEOS stepped in with an SEO consultation and a free trial.
Free Consultation & Hiring Model
During the free consultation, we discussed the project’s current situation and ROI. In this project, we provided an advanced SEO audit during the initial meeting. They had a lot of technical issues and lacked high-quality content.
The main issue we noticed was the lack of proper keyword research and SEO implementation. The website needed major improvements in structure and design.
We recommended a dedicated SEO Virtual Assistant (VA) for the project. Later, they decided to offshore a team from us to get a complete 360-degree solution.
Challenges Virtual SEOS Faced
- Technical SEO
When our technical SEO specialist audited their website, we found major issues with website speed — especially with Largest Contentful Paint (LCP) and Cumulative Layout Shift (CLS). Besides this, there were 404 pages, duplicate content, canonical issues, etc.
- Poor UI Design
The service page was not in good enough condition to create an SEO funnel and generate leads. It was an ordinary page without eye-catching visuals or valuable information that could encourage traffic to convert into leads.
- Low-Quality Content
Low-quality content was one of the most challenging aspects of this project. There were a lot of blog posts with very thin content, and the same applied to the service pages.
- Poor Ranking on GBP
This home health care provider had a complete Google Business Profile, but there were issues with local keyword research for GBP and incorrect category selection. The business also needed good ratings and positive text reviews on GBP.

Results After 4 Months
SEO is all about results. We started working on August 6, 2024. Initially, they had only 388 organic visits and 15K impressions from July 1 to July 31. After the first month, when we fixed all the technical issues, their site started growing. From August 1 to August 31, they gained 553 organic visits and 22.2K impressions. We improved their organic traffic by 42.52%.
July 1 - July 31
August 1 - August 31
After we started working on their old content, we gained 1.02K organic visits and 42K impressions in the month of September. The organic traffic growth for September was 162.89%.
Then we focused on their blog posts and GBP in the month of October. We researched transactional keywords and published new content. As a result, we started to get a good amount of traffic from the blog. Their GBP optimization also began generating more impressions day by day.
In October, the business received 2.6K organic visits and 106K impressions. The organic traffic growth for October was 570.10%.
In the month of November, we focused on website design and development to help convert more leads from the increasing traffic. And it worked like a charm. After implementing the new design, we started receiving high-quality leads from both the service pages and blog posts.
In December, we published blog content focused on targeted service pages, strategically designed to guide users from informational intent to service conversion. By the end of the month, the business reached 3.86K organic sessions and 153K impressions, according to Google Search Console.
By the end of December, we had achieved our initial SEO goals. Several commercial keywords began ranking in the targeted local areas, resulting in direct service appointments from both blog and service pages. The business’s Google Business Profile (GBP) rankings also improved significantly. Using a local search grid tracking tool, we observed movement from position 20+ to the #1 spot in several key service zones.
After four months of ongoing SEO efforts, the business achieved an organic traffic growth of 894.85%. This marks the first major milestone in their SEO journey. Our work continues, focusing on scaling traffic, boosting lead quality, and increasing appointment bookings through both the website and Google Maps.
