How We Increased Casetology's Organic Traffic by 299%
About the Project
Casetology is one of the most popular phone case brands. Most of their sales originally came from Google PPC, Meta Ads, and social media branding. At this point, they wanted to reduce ad dependency and grow organic sales through SEO. That’s when they scheduled a free consultation with Virtual SEOS.
Free Consultation & Hiring Model
During the free consultation, we conducted a basic SEO audit and discussed the scope of the project. Casetology had specific customer targets. They had a few best-selling products they wanted to rank first. But their Shopify store had several foundational SEO issues. They actually needed a 360-degree solution.
Based on our findings and their needs, we recommended choosing our hiring model: a dedicated SEO Virtual Assistant (VA).
Challenges Virtual SEOS Faced
- Technical Issues
We found many technical errors in the beginning. Specifically, we found 600+ broken links (404 errors), duplicate content, canonical issues, etc.
- Poor UI Design
The website was not designed with a proper funnel and CTA. The product showcasing and single product pages were not very attractive to users, and product details were not showing properly.
- Website Architecture
There were no proper category and subcategory pages, especially for iPhone case models and specifications. There was no customer journey path for their desired product. So, we needed to rethink the website architecture.
- AI Content
Casetology had 100% AI-generated content on their product pages. This gave a bad impression of the website. We needed to verify the information and ensure quality content.
- Lack of Products
When we researched new categories based on our new funnel and architecture, we saw that most of the categories lacked product variations, whereas their competitors had them.
- Authority
Because of all these issues, Casetology had low website authority on Google. Naturally, it takes time to build topical authority.

Results After 7 Months
When we started working with Casetology, their monthly traffic was only 253 in July 2024. From the first month, we began increasing their organic traffic. First, we focused only on their technical issues. Then we shifted our focus to the content on their old product pages, updating every single one and uploading high-quality content. After working for two months, by the end of September, their organic traffic had increased by 59.7%, reaching 404 monthly visitors.
In the meantime, we had already researched new categories and products. After implementing our new SEO strategy, we started working on these new categories and products. We saw that after two more months, their traffic changed dramatically. In December, their monthly traffic had reached 859.
In January, we successfully ranked most of the targeted categories and keywords. We ranked for keywords like metal iPhone cases, girl iPhone cases, silicone iPhone cases, and many more. By the end of January, the website’s organic traffic had reached 1,011.
After 7 months, Casetology’s organic traffic growth is now 299%.
